A further meeting took place at Muker on 10 October to discuss the proposed festival to celebrate the Tour de France. The festival will take place over 2 1/2 days from Friday, 4th July, with activities, entertainments, food etc in a Muker field kindly donated for the festival by local farmer Christine Whitehead. Activities either confirmed, or hoping to be, include Sheep Dog Trials, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle, Treasure Hunt, Historical Tour, Open Gardens, Sheep Shearing, Tractor Display, Mini Fell Race, Hawk Display and a Duck Race.

There is also a variety of bands/music to be heard over the duration of the festival (which has yet to be named). Food providers have yet to be confirmed, although it is hoped there will be a range of outlets available.

Information is being collected on local availability of proposed campsites and car parking, to be passed on to RDC. Toilets will also be available.

It is estimated the festival will cost between £13,000 and £15,000; it is hoped the festival will break even, with any profits being distributed between local institutions (ticket prices not yet confirmed).
